$15.95 plus $4.00 shipping Each year the Northeast Basketmakers Guild looks for ways to promote the art of basketry to fellow weavers. The guild's 2003 calendar features photos of the award winning baskets from the exhibition "Baskets 2002: New Perspectives on an Ancient Tradition" held at Guilford Handcraft Center, Guilford, Connecticut in the spring of 2002. This is the third year that the guild has produced a basket calendar. I curated this exhibit for the guild and entries came from far and wide. The range of basket art included in the show was quite breathtaking. Awards were selected by juror, John McGuire in a variety of categories. Professional photographs were taken of each of the award winner's baskets. Each basketmaker and their basket is featured in full color on an individual month of the calendar. Undulations The back cover of the calendar features thumbnail images of the baskets inside. The calendar opens to a size of 14" wide by 24" high and comes shrink wrapped with an inserted cardboard stiffener. The calendar would make a wonderful gift for your basketmaking friends and don't forget to buy a copy or two for yourself.
